Jose Alvarez and Jeff Powers first met years ago in Mexico City, where they performed together at various gigs. By a twist of fate, Jose eventually made his home in Jeff's hometown of Cleveland, Ohio. Before settling in Cleveland (Shaker Heights), Jose earned two Grammy Awards while recording and touring with Terrance Simien. Although they often play blues, they are also skilled in Singer-Songwriter and other musical genres. Both Jeff and Jose have recorded extensively, with Jeff releasing five CDs of entirely original songs and Jose recording several CDs with Terrance Simien, multiple CDs with Los Blancos (a band he co-founded), and two of his own CDs.
